First Good-Bye

I had the fun job of babysitting little Jacob yesterday, while Julia went to a job interview. He was an angel for his Mimi (me), and slept the whole time, after a little dancing under the shady elm trees. My room is the coolest in the house, so I settled him in on the fluffy comforter, and Heidi-Nana helped keep watch.

It was sweet to spend a little quiet time with Jacob before his big trip to Arkansas. Julia's taking him to meet his other grandma, great grandma, and great-great grandma. That doesn't happen very often. Five generations in one house. It's exciting for all of them, and although we'll miss the little man while they're gone, we know we have to share him. Jacob and I had a little talk, as we danced again under the trees this morning,  just before they left. We have a pact. We're all going off to have some big world adventures, and we'll meet back here in a few weeks to share our stories. He'll grow and change so much... I'm a little sad to know how much I'll be missing... darn it, I didn't mean to love this Sweet Baboo so much... big Mimi sigh... now it's time to get to work.
